I am a homeschool mom 11/22/2009
That sounds like I'm introducing myself at a support meeting. Well, we go to those too. And yes, I'm addicted to home educating the kid. We do geekish things like practice math in the grocery store--weighing things, adding up prices, identifying parts on the live lobsters, etc. We also read every sign in every store and on the streets. There's a lesson on something everywhere you look. We've been homeschooling almost two years and the kid is a funny, happy, vegetarian, sometimes unfocused first grader. We means me and the Mr. Well, mostly me. The Mr. brings home the (turkey) bacon and I get to play school and do chores all day. I could live without the chores. I get to read a lot too and tinker with my book blog. I've actually been blogging for almost five years. This is my second go at a homeschool blog. I think this will work out nicely since I have all my ramblings housed in one space. So, stay tuned for whatever antics me and the kid get into as we navigate through formal and informal learning. ![]() Comments11/24/2009 1:46am
I can't wait to hear what you speak! Homeschooling is a riot, I agree with you. It is so good to know what your kids are learning- and a huge blessing to teach them.

That was a great savings! I need to be on the look out for some good stuff like that. Our school supplies for the year have been a little shabby.
