I laughed hysterically and scowled furiously at the video about what natural hair wearers are tired of hearing including "You look so different every time I see you" or "Do you wash it?". GTFOH!
I fell hard for this list of 26 things every person should do for themselves at least once a year which includes a nice variety of things from clearing out that overflowing inbox to making a list of things you didn't think you'd get through that year but did.
My heart broke again at the injustice towards Black folks in this country and how it impacts my parenting of my beautiful brown boy and what his future might be.
Then I was moved by the two young men who run for justice and did so all the way from Atlanta to Ferguson. Also, check out their fundraiser.
While November ended on a pretty wretched note, I managed to find a little ray of sunshine in visiting with my family on Thanksgiving, hanging out with my best friend who was visiting from Texas, and my latest obsession: the kinda crafty, slightly obnoxious world of planners. Yep, I've surrendered completely to my love of all the pens and all the papers.
