BBAW Reading Meme

9/16/2009

For today's BBAW activity, I'm sharing a bit about my reading habits.

Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack? Yes, cashews.

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of
writing in books horrify you? Writing in books is punishable by law...

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Both.. I don't discriminate.

Hard copy or audiobooks? hard copy. Audiobooks are like an oxymoron.

What are you currently reading? Atlas of Unknowns by Tania James

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? Let The Lion Eat Straw by Ellease Southerland

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)  Too many books, Too little space, there is currently no method to the madness. In my dream space it will be by author.

Oh my gosh...I am glad that I fight the temptation to write in my books as I would hate to be punished by law. *grin*

I would love to organize my books by author but too many hands pulling books off of our shelves.

We have many similar answers to most :)

I haven't read Let the lion eat straw, I will add it to my wishlist.

There never does seem to be enough space for books, does there? I am not a big fun of nuts but cashews are alltogether different. If I start eating them I can't stop. I think it is genetic because my mom can finish a small tin off by herself. I was looking through some of your past blogs and I wanted to say welcome to the blogosphere. I think you will like it here:)

Terri,

Marked books are like practical art- well loved. I don't mark often but I'm come to appreciate little notes in books reminds me of the experience of reading them.

I wasn't an audio fan till Neil Gaiman. You have children, right? If they're young, his children's audio book is fantastic and his adult fantasy is really fun on audio as well.

Enjoyed. Thanks.

@ susan, i'll definitely look into the neil gaiman audiobooks for my son.

@book psmith, thanx for the welcome and cashews are divine. :)

@violet, i don't think you'll be disappointed with that book.

@deanna, i know what you mean, that's why i can't wait to get my son his own bookshelves b/c the community shelving is not working for me. lol!

Aww. You're hard on audiobooks. I agree that they are a totally different thing. Some book that are only okay I think I like better because I listened to them.

No method to my madness either.
